Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Director to lead the Data and Analytics function within the Enterprise Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE). This role will serve as the insights engine for Enterprise Procurementâsynthesizing large and complex datasets, structuring and governing data in an AI-ready way, and proactively identifying opportunities where analytics, reporting, and automation can improve performance, speed, and decision-making. The Director will also serve as Procurementâs reporting expert, building, refining, and scaling well-established reporting capabilities so that Procurement data and reporting needs consistently originate from this team, are prioritized effectively, and are delivered with accurate, consistently branded, and executive-ready insights.
Job Responsibilities will include:
- Drive enriched data refinement and enhanced analytics on $12B+ in addressable spend across 10+ data sources; synthesize large, complex datasets into clear summaries and actionable insights, including the commoditization of spend, creation of actionable profiles and dashboards, analysis of spending behaviors and demand, and development of KPI and trend analyses
- Advance effective use of AI across Enterprise Procurement by identifying and prioritizing high-impact use cases and maintaining an enablement roadmap (data readiness, model/tool selection, integration requirements, and change management); lead pilots with clear success metrics and ensure responsible adoption through governance, controls, and training
- Develop, package, and present analysis findings and recommendations to senior and executive leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive decisions
- Build measurement and reporting capabilities (dashboards, scorecards, and governance routines) to monitor performance against policies, track cost savings, and enable enterprise-wide spending controls
- Develop an enterprise-initiative support framework, including baseline analysis, data modeling, benefits/savings analysis and tracking, and executive-ready materials for leadership updates
- Partner with Procurement leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and deliver improvement opportunities (data quality and structure, efficiency gains, end-to-end process streamlining, and bottleneck reduction)
- Guide the development of critical analytic and operational infrastructure, including identifying and implementing tools and standard ways of working to advance Procurement execution and scale repeatable insights
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience (FP&A, Analytics, Strategy, Procurement, Finance Operations, Advisory Services)
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI/GenAI tools to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive work, and improve decision quality
- Experience translating complex analytics into clear, executive-ready narratives, including structuring storylines, defining key takeaways, and tailoring to senior audiences
- Advanced PowerPoint skills: creating compelling decks using effective layout, visuals/charts, and consistent branding; ability to build templates and reusable âmodulesâ for recurring leadership updates
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, including delivering concise updates, handling Q&A, and driving alignment on recommendations
Education
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or related field
- MBA with a similar concentration preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Â The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Â This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Â This position also includes an award target in the companyâs equity award program.Â
