The Opportunity:
CACIâs Digital and Enterprise Solutions (D&ES) Sector is seeking a skilled Sr. ISP / OSP Engineer with a strong background in communication engineering. The ideal candidate will support the design, implementation, and modernization of communication infrastructures across both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) environments. This includes fiber and copper cabling, network transport systems, RF and voice/data communication paths, power integration, and all supporting architecture.
You will review and approve engineering documentation, develop communication system designs, lead field teams, and ensure compliance with U.S. Army and industry communication standards. Your work will help deliver secure, resilient, highâperformance communication solutions that enhance mission readiness across Army OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the survey, design, and implementation of communicationârelated ISP/OSP infrastructure, including fiber and copper plants, pathways, power integration (with licensed electricians), patch panels, and system diagrams.
- Support communication system modernization projects of varying size and complexity, including preliminary development of the SPRIP.
- Conduct and oversee site surveys, documenting current communication configurations and designing optimized ISP/OSP and transport architectures.
- Approve SDPs and Final RIP documents, ensuring compliance with Army communication requirements, NEC standards, and industry best practices.
- Support development of IUID Marking Plans and procurement documentation (LOM).
- Lead and supervise deployment teams across survey, installation, testing, and QA activities, including all preâimplementation coordination.
- Approve engineering implementation plans, system drawings, and communication infrastructure layouts; perform quality checks and enforce safe work practices.
- Identify and resolve complex communication engineering issues; oversee system preâtests and acceptance testing.
- Ensure communication system installations align with safety standards, environmental conditions, and operational needs.
- Provide technical subjectâmatter expertise across multiple projects, supporting communication architecture decisions and modernization efforts.
- Optimize communication system resources, scalability, and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of communication system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Prepare system performance reports, issue tracking summaries, and recommendations for enhancements.
- Troubleshoot complex communication problems and collaborate with crossâfunctional engineering teams.
- Provide daily supervision, guidance, and technical leadership to ISP/OSP and communication engineering staff.

Qualifications:
Required:Â
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Technical BA/BS degree; Masterâs preferred (equivalent experience accepted)
- Completed OSHA 30-hour training
- 12 years of experience as a Lead Wired Engineer, Communication Engineer, or similar role supporting large, complex communication networks
- Commensurate alternative: High school diploma or associate degree plus 15 years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS
- Strong analytical and problemâsolving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Certifications: BICSI RCDD (preferred/required per hiring need)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$85,800 - $180,200
