Responsible for managing the private beach and pool operations of the Chatham Bars Inn Waterfront.Duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure that all safety equipment is functional and inspected as necessary
Ensure all pool regulations & guidelines are followed and enforced
Maintain a good understanding of the facility’s mechanical system and its components
Maintain water quality; provide proper disinfection & water balance
Keep proper records of pool maintenance and chemicals
Train and supervise staff including beach & pool attendants, supervisors, bath house porters, waterfront porters & gate attendants
Ensure the staff understand guest service standards and what is expected of them
Ensure that the staff have the proper tools and resources needed to perform their jobs successfully
Perform all staff duties including, but not limited to, renting and attending to cabanas, setting beach umbrellas & chairs, cleaning pool restrooms, towel service, end of day clean up and reset
Resolve guest issues promptly
Administrative tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling, payroll edits, gratuity reports, purchase orders and daily revenue reports
Control access to the swimming pool & private beach to ensure hotel guest and member use only
Assist Operations Manager in setting up and breaking down all seasonal equipment, furniture and cabanas at the beginning and ending of the season, or in the case of severe weather
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
Two years of management experience
Current certification in CPR & First Aid
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be an energetic and personable leader
Must have strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and well under pressure
Able to multi-task in a busy environment, one where interruptions are expected
Ability bend, crouch, stoop, climb, twist and lift and move up to 60 lbs
Able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to be in sun and various types of weather
Must be flexible with schedule and work weekends and holidays
Intermediate computer skills required as department involved three operating software programs
