Arizona State University’s Global Education Office (ASU GEO) is hiring two (2) Faculty Directed Program Coordinators. The successful candidates will be part of a team of eight (8) working to support ASU’s robust custom faculty directed program portfolio and join a broader office with 20+ team members. ASU GEO is a leader in global education sending in excess of 2,600 students abroad annually on traditional mobility programs including study abroad, internship, service-learning and research opportunities and has developed a growing portfolio of online global learning programs that enrolls an additional 1,200+ students each academic year. The Coordinator will be assigned to a portfolio of international, domestic and online programs and will be responsible for the management of their full life cycle from the proposal stage through to the collection of program evaluations. This position works primarily with faculty, university administration and service providers and will report to the Faculty Directed Program Manager. Student contact is indirect and limited.
Salary: $52,000/year
Essential Duties:
Works closely and collaboratively with faculty member(s), to facilitate, develop and finalize individualized custom program proposals including, but not limited to: budgets, logistics, housing, transportation, health & safety requirements, excursions and curriculum.
Facilitates and prepares, with faculty member(s), the development and maintenance of a program budget and associated course fee(s), prepares disbursements, proposals, recommendations and approvals where appropriate and ensures adherence to and control of budget items.
Requests bids from providers, facilitates contract negotiations with identified vendor(s); prepares all applicable contracts for each program to ensure achievement of stated outcomes and requirements.
Acts as primary contact between third party vendors and faculty; reviews providers’ bid responses to provide guidance/recommendations to faculty identifying differences that may enhance the program from both a content and expense perspective.
Plans, prepares, launches and administers associated web brochure(s) to promote program including descriptive information, cost, program length/timing and application process. Reviews submitted applications for eligibility criteria, accepts/denies students, and aids in the achievement of required minimum participants.
Prepares Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and Scope of Work for vendors; in conjunction with Risk Management, OGC and Associate Director International Health, Safety and Security evaluates new providers for compliance with ASU standards/requirements.
Working in conjunction with faculty, facilitates promotion of programs, holds informational sessions, creates flyers for programs; assists in the planning of Global Education Office events throughout the year to increase awareness and promote program opportunities to students, faculty, and colleges.
Working with faculty, coordinates, organizes and delivers pre-departure orientations for students, both in person and virtually; monitors virtual pre-departure orientation required for all students.
Advises students on program specifics, funding options, and application process; performs follow up as needed to ensure students have the opportunity to complete process; withdraws students as requested.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities that may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Some weekend and evening activities required. Flexible and hybrid schedules are available after training period.
