You will play a pivotal role in building and scaling our global regulator-facing advisory strategy. This role sits at the intersection of regulatory expertise, product strategy, and go-to-market executionâhelping financial regulators understand, adopt, and operationalize crypto risk intelligence in supervision, licensing, and enforcement workflows.
Regulator demand has accelerated significantly across North America, Europe, and APAC, spanning central banks, market regulators, and supervisory authorities. Today, this work is distributed across multiple teams without a dedicated owner. This role is designed to bring structure, consistency, and strategic leverage to that motion.
We are seeking a senior Regulatory Advisor to serve as the global point person for regulator engagementsâbuilding repeatable frameworks, shaping product direction, and supporting high-priority opportunities. This role reports to the Head of Compliance Advisory and partners closely with GTM, Product, Policy, and Customer Success.
The Impact You Will Have
Own and scale TRMâs global regulator engagement strategy, serving as the primary SME across regulator deals, pilots, and advisory conversations
Develop standardized playbooks for key regulator archetypes (e.g., prudential, markets, FIUs), improving consistency and reducing bespoke effort
Translate evolving regulatory frameworks into clear product and GTM narratives, helping regulators operationalize supervision and oversight workflows
Act as the internal âvoice of the regulatorââinfluencing product roadmap, data strategy, and workflow design
Support high-stakes engagements and RFPs, de-risking procurement and accelerating regulator adoption
Build scalable training, content, and enablement assets for both regulators and internal teams
Contribute to TRMâs regulator dataset strategy, helping drive long-term data and network moats
What Weâre Looking For
8+ years of experience in financial regulation, supervision, or examination (e.g., central banks, market regulators, or supervisory authorities)
Direct experience with digital assets, fintech, or financial institutions, ideally with exposure to supervisory or examination workflows
Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, MiCA, US regulatory landscape, APAC regimes)
Proven ability to translate regulatory expectations into practical, scalable solutions across product, advisory, or GTM contextsproduct, advisory, or G
Experience engaging with regulators, government bodies, or senior external stakeholders in complex environments
Strong cross-functional operatorâable to influence Product, GTM, and Policy without formal authority
Commercial awareness and ability to support strategic deals and advisory engagements
Excellent communication and judgment; able to operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Low ego, high ownership, and a bias toward building repeatable systems vs. one-off support
About the Team
Our Compliance Advisory team operates at the intersection of compliance expertise, product strategy, and commercial execution. We partner closely with GTM, Product, Policy, and Post-Sales to support strategic opportunities, shape product direction, and translate regulatory complexity into scalable outcomes.
The team is small, highly leveraged, and deeply cross-functional. We prioritize clarity, speed, and building repeatable frameworks over ad hoc support. Team members bring a mix of regulatory, financial institution, and technology experience, and operate with a strong sense of ownership and adaptability.
We work globally across time zones and rely heavily on structured communication (Slack, Notion, Loom) to stay aligned and move quickly.
TRM Speed in This Role
We turn regulatory complexity into usable frameworks quickly.
When new regulatory developments emerge, we rapidly synthesize implications and translate them into clear guidance, playbooks, and product inputs.
We reduce bespoke work by building reusable systems.
Instead of solving the same problem repeatedly, we codify regulator needs into scalable playbooks, training, and product requirements.
We show up in high-stakes regulator conversations with clarity and credibility.
We engage directly with regulators, translating complex capabilities into supervisory valueâbalancing precision with speed and iteration.
We are building a safer world. That promise shows up in how we work every day.
TRM moves quickly. We are a high velocity, high ownership team that expects clarity, follow-through, and impact. People who thrive here are energized by hard problems, experimentation, and continuous feedback. If something takes months elsewhere, it will ship here in days.
Our work sits at the intersection of AI, national security, and fighting financial crime. The problems are complex, the stakes are real, and the environment evolves quickly. The pace and intensity of the work reflect the importance of the mission. As a result, the way we operate requires a high level of ownership, adaptability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
At TRM, you should expect:
Priorities and targets to change quickly as we experiment and iterate
Work that often requires operating with a high degree of ambiguity
A high level of personal ownership and accountability
Close collaboration across teams and functions
Frequent, high-touch communication
Creative problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking
A pace that rewards urgency, adaptability, and outcomes
This environment is energizing for people who enjoy building, solving hard problems, and making progress in situations that are not always fully defined. It also requires comfort navigating ambiguity, adjusting course as new information emerges, and maintaining focus and positivity in a fast-moving and intense environment.
We also recognize that this style of operating is not for everyone. If you are primarily optimizing for predictability or a consistently balanced workload, we encourage you to use the interview process to pressure test whether this environment is truly the right fit. We want teammates who thrive here, not just survive here.
At the same time, many people find this work deeply rewarding. If you are excited by meaningful problems, motivated by ambitious goals, and energized by working alongside mission-driven colleagues, there is a good chance you will find TRM to be an exceptional place to grow and contribute.
