About You
In one of our Supply Chain roles, youāll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center.
You will be maintaining equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution of Kimberly-Clark products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work. This role is part of Kimberly-Clarkās investment in creating new jobs and expanding its capabilities to produce Products that are essential to millions of lives around the world, and right here in Pune. Strategic Environmental & Sustainability Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for environmental aspects of OH&S and E&S programs at moderately complex sites, ensuring alignment with KimberlyāClark (KāC) OH&S and E&S Standards, local legal requirements.
Legal Compliance & Risk Management: Interpret, monitor, and manage evolving environmental legal requirements; identify complex environmental hazards, assess risks, and build related capabilities across the site to effectively manage and mitigate environmental risks.
Subject Matter Expertise & Incident Management: Act as a subject matter expert in environmental and sustainability areas relevant to site operations; lead and participate in environmental incident investigations, including causal analysis, while developing similar competencies in others.
Program Maturity, Training & Continuous Improvement: Conduct routine selfāassessments of environmental and sustainability program maturity; develop and deliver training across a broad range of OH&S and E&S topics; drive continuous improvement through a lean mindset and āgo to where the work happensā approach.
Technology, Data & Change Leadership: Leverage data, digital platforms, and technological advancements (including automation) to enhance decisionāmaking, problemāsolving, project execution, and effective change management.
Collaboration, Leadership & Manufacturing Integration: Influence without authority to collaborate across teams, roleāmodel accountability and leadership behaviors, support manufacturing planning, execution, and capital allocation processes, and work closely with site leadership (typically reporting to Mill/Site Managers).Ā
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure site compliance with KāC and regulatory environmental requirements; identify environmental aspects, hazards, and emerging requirements, and ensure risks are managed to acceptable levels.
OH&S and E&S Management System Ownership: Act as the functional owner for environmental and sustainability components of the siteās OH&S and E&S Management System, including implementation and ongoing effectiveness.
Sustainability Goals & Objective Setting: Define siteālevel environmental and sustainability objectives and be accountable for delivering KāC sustainability goals related to energy/climate, water, and waste, while assessing performance effectiveness.
Program Maturity & Strategy Execution: Lead initiatives to improve the maturity of environmental and sustainability programs and effectively implement Global and Regional/BU Environmental and Sustainability strategies.
Event Investigation & Corrective Actions: Support environmental event investigations, ensure thorough root cause analyses, and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Training, Orientation & Contractor Compliance: Ensure employees receive appropriate environmental and sustainability training and orientation; ensure contractor adherence to KāC standards and OH&S and E&S requirements.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Insights: Utilize digital systems to analyze environmental and sustainability data, ensure data integrity, and provide insights with recommended improvement actions.Ā
Qualifications
5ā7 years of experience in environmental management within a manufacturing environment, with strong focus on legal compliance, risk management, and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications as required by local regulatory authorities, if applicable.
Minimum 2 years of experience in leadership, management, or supervisory role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to influence behaviors and outcomes without direct authority.
Pursuing or possession of relevant professional certifications (e.g., PE or equivalent).
