This position is responsible for operating and adjusting all process equipment [evenflows to discharge of pre-heater] for smooth and productive operations; monitors lineflow and waste; corrects problems which affect quality and production costs; and makes line changes as directed by the Production Lead or Team Leader.Job Description

Fills,operates, and drainsall water systems associated with processing equipment in a manner tomaintainlevels,maintainquality,maintainequipment integrity, and minimize total water usage.
Implementschanges to settings on all processing equipment, as specified by the supervisor, in such a manner to prevent problems with downstream equipment, keep line volume consistent,maintainproductintegrityand maximize recovery. This would include the Halo Vision System [optical sorter].
Utilizesprocess controlsystemandmaintaina feedback method with supervisors and maintenance to ensure systems function properly and maximize equipment and/or labor efficiency through automation.
Controlsall processing equipment tomaintainsanitary conditions and coordinate/communicate line downtime activities with Sanitation Lead.Â
Controlsproduct waste systems tomaintainsanitary conditions within the plant and maximize recovery.
Starts, stops, and adjustsall processing equipment in sequence for: Cut changes, Equipment problems, Line downtime, Emergency situations, and Shutdowns.
Usesprocesscontrol system tomonitorequipment efficiency and settings.
Monitorsproduct levels inevenflowbins to keep line volume consistent.
Maintainsblend rates to aid in achieving consistent finished quality.
Monitorsraw product quality.
Monitorsprocessing lab results and make/suggest changes to equipment and settings as needed.
Obtainsa waste sample for thebactilab once ashift.
Performswater quality/salinity checks on the PEF [pre-heater] and enter them into QA ProcessÂ
Maintainsconstant communication with QA personnel, and Supervisorgroup.
Understandsthe functionand hazards of various cleaningchemicals, andmust be able to perform various product testing procedures.Â
Shovelsproductspills.
Performscleanupsas assigned and other sanitation duties.
Wearsthe requiredPPE.
CompletesCLâs, CILâs, and FSILâs.
Performsother duties as assigned
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education:(Required & Preferred)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification arerequired. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.Â
Skills andExperience:Â
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirementmay vary by location).Â
Must be able to be qualified withintime framesestablishedbyfacility.Â
Ability to perform basic math functions,required.Â
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. <
