The Director leads strategic supply planning, scenario modeling, and longârange planning to support launch readiness, supply continuity, and network resilience through commercialization. The role partners closely with crossâfunctional stakeholders across Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing (PDM), Commercial, and IT.Â

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead integrated supply planning activities for assigned new product introduction (NPI) programs from early development (Phase 2/3) to orchestrating full scale commercial launch readiness.
Represent Global Supply Chain (GSC) in PDM Strategy Teams for New Programs ensuring production and inventory plans meet the projected market demand at commercial launch and beyond.
Provide endâtoâend oversight of NPI supply chain strategy, including supply chain mapping, longârange planning alignment, network capacity planning, and strategic sourcing decisions.
Lead the development and maintenance of longârange supply plans (up to 10 years), including detailed threeâyear global plans, to support strategic pipeline, capacity, and supply network decisions.
Lead supply chain sub-teams to coordinate supply chain activities to ensure GSCâs commercial launch readiness.
Act as a trusted advisor to functional leadership by proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs impacting supply continuity and launch readiness.
Provide thought leadership on emerging trends, best practices, and methodologies in integrated supply planning, capacity planning, and network optimization.
Partner with key stakeholders across PDM, Commercial, and IT to ensure alignment on new product supply and network strategies including tech transfer and scale-up for commercialization.
Execute and lead scenario planning and modeling to identify supply risks, disruptions, and mitigation strategies to strengthen supply chain resilience.
Partner with GSC Risk Manager to ensure new productâs drug shortage prevention plans are developed and maintained for supply chain resilience.Â
Develop, deploy, and continuously improve analytical models and tools in partnership with analytics and IT, to test disruption scenarios and support dataâdriven decision making (e.g., service level, cost, network tradeoffs).
Translate complex analytical outputs and modeling insights into clear recommendations for senior leadership and crossâfunctional stakeholders.
Apply independent judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for complex supply chain problem solving.
Ensure supply planning approaches are compliant with GxP requirements and aligned with internal governance and planning standards.
Responsible for establishing and continuously improving supply planning processes, tools, and capabilities.

Experience in integrated supply planning, capacity planning, longârange planning (LRP), and scenario modeling.
Handsâon experience with planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle; Kinaxis RapidResponse strongly preferred).
Experience with analytical tools, data manipulation, and modeling languages (e.g., Python, SQL) preferred.
Experience with supply chain analytics, optimization, and visualization tools.
Proven experience operating in a complex, global supply chain organization.
Strong track record of crossâfunctional partnership and strategic influence.
Travel may be required (up to ~10%)

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
