Key Responsibilities
Leadhigh-stakesnegotiations for complex and/oralternative delivery project contracts(DB, PDB, DBFOM, PPP, IPD,andcollaborative contracting models),focusing initially onprojectslocatedin our largest region,North America.
Partners with company leaders, pursuit teams,andjoint venture partners to structurealternative deliverydealsaligned with our commercialand risk appetitethat win and perform.
Provideend-to-endlegal guidancefor thefullprojectpursuit lifecycle—from bid/no-bid decisions to teaming agreements, proposals, interviews, contract finalization, project delivery, and claims resolution.
Support claimsavoidance,mitigation,and resolution strategiesfor complex projects, working collaboratively with project teams,external counsel, and other members of theCompany’sglobal Legal, Compliance, and Risk(LCR)team,as needed.
Develop andmaintaincontract templates, negotiation playbooks, and best-practice guidance documentsfor complex project contracts,to streamline project delivery across business lines and regions.
Partner with General Counselto define our contract negotiating strategy for complex contracts and major projectsrepresentingsome of the highest risk and highest rewardprojectopportunities.
Shapes and advances enterprise governance and risk culture for complex projects.
Works collaborative with and provides thought leadership and mentorship to regional attorneysofthe Company working on complex contracts and alternative delivery projects.Build, lead, and mentor a dedicated legal team specializing incomplex projectsover time.
Monitor emerging legal, regulatory, and industry trends relevant to collaborative and alternative project delivery models; update stakeholders and influence strategy accordingly.
Represent the legal function in client-facing settings, strategic partnerships, and industry events, strengthening TYLin’s leadership profile in the alternative delivery space.
Collaborate with global legal, risk, and compliance teammembersto ensure consistency in contracting practices and enterprise-wide risk governance.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB); active bar membership in a U.S. State or Canadian Province.
Minimum of 15years’ legal experience with a strong focus on major infrastructure or capital project delivery, including at least7years supporting alternative delivery methods.
Demonstratedexpertisein negotiating, drafting, and advising on complexcontracts for projects in North America using alternative or complex delivery methodssuch as P3, DB, DBFOM,joint venture, and concession arrangement.Expertisein cross-border contracting is highly desirable.
In-depth understanding of risk allocation, bonding/insurance structures, performance security, and subcontractor relationships under various delivery models.
