This individual will report in person to Denver International Airport. Employee parking will be provided.
In this position you can expect to work Monday - Friday, standard business hours.
This role supports mandatory on-call emergency operations that may happen during nights, weekends, and holidays.
All scheduling is subject to adjustment andis basedon operationalneeds.
We areseekinghighly-skilled, self-motivated team players with outstanding relationship-building, problem-solving, and negotiating skills to perform duties in contracts and be the face of the airport to many vendors and contractors. The Contract Administrator (CA) willbe responsible formanaging and monitoring contract requirements and performance within the O&M Contract Administration Department. The CA willbe responsible forensuring compliance with contract terms, city ordinances, and DEN rules and regulations. This role willbe responsible forthe scope of work development, program development, contract management, and contract negotiations for contracts related to programs such as Janitorial, WindowCleaningand Maintenance Services.
The Contract Administrator will work at DEN in a fast-paced environment, working withdifferent groupsor divisions such as the Office of Economic Development, Contractors, federal governing agencies, Business Management Services, Finance, and many other divisions internal and external toDEN. The Contract Administrator willbe responsible forensuring contract requirements are aligned with current industry best practices. You will have the chance to train with other Contract Administrators to learn DEN’s process for preparing and executing change orders, schedule of values, auditing invoices against professional service contracts, and performing daily document control for a variety of professional services contracts.In order tosucceed at this position, you must be highly organized, have strong analytical skills, communicate effectively, and be comfortable multitasking themyriadof different projects youare in charge ofat any one time.
Additionally, as an Airport Services Contract Administrator, you can expect to:
Develops, documents, andestablishespolicy for all necessary contractual parameters, including types of vendors and services, space allocation, and constructionrequirements asrelated to the Airport Services department. Acts as a liaison to the City Attorney’s Office and the Business Management Services office. Follows prospective contracts throughout Request for Proposal, contracting, and close-out processes, and coordinates actions for breach of contract situations.
Coordinates with Contractors to ensure that pay applications and payments areaccurateand processed promptly. This includes, but is not limited to, staffing and time reports, and completing forms as required for
Tracks and responds to market changes, works with stakeholders,determinesoperational or other efficiencies for improving performance, and prepares reports and recommendations for management. Coordinates regularly with program administrators, contract staff, and other departments toidentify, lead and supportnew traditionaland non-traditional methods for program management and growth.
Negotiates the final terms of contracts, which may include developing expenditure agreements, andmanagescontracts of specific vendors, professional services, or construction projects. Coordinates work with Project Managers toestablishperformance schedules and monitor metrics.
Providestechnical guidance to staff and contractors, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of policies and procedures for assigned functions, andassistsin developing new policies and procedures.
Performs on-site investigations to verify compliance to contract, including pricing and employment rules and regulations, approves or denies adjustments, responds to inquiries and audits, andre-inspectsas necessary.
Makes presentations to contractors, city department heads, concession operators, and public interest groups and provides information on contract policies and procedures and general business management.
