Chief Information Officer (CIO)
This role operates in a Private Equity-backed environment, working closely with portfolio company leadership teams to assess current technology capabilities, identify value creation opportunities, and design scalable, secure target operating models that support growth, integration, and exit readiness.
The Enterprise Architecture, Data & Security Lead is accountable for assessing, designing, and governing enterprise technology, data, and security architectures across portfolio companies. The role translates current-state capabilities into clear target operating models that enable value creation, operational scalability, and risk reduction.
Rapidly assess "as-is" technology, data, and security capabilities across portfolio companies
Identify structural constraints to growth, AI adoption, and operational efficiency
Translate findings into clear value creation hypotheses and technology-enabled levers
Support investment, integration, and exit-readiness agendas
Define future-state technology and data operating models aligned to investment theses
Design scalable enterprise and platform architectures suitable for multi-entity environments
Establish pragmatic standards that balance speed, cost, and control
Enable repeatable patterns across portfolio companies where appropriate
Own reference architectures, integration patterns, and technology standards
Define data governance models that support analytics and AI while maintaining compliance
Establish security-by-design principles suitable for regulated and international environments
Reduce dependency on individuals and legacy vendors
Act as architectural authority for delivery initiatives and third-party SOWs
Ensure technology decisions scale beyond individual projects
Reduce rework, duplication, and post-deal technical debt
Partner with delivery leadership without owning execution
Provide CIO and VP Tech Value Creation with system-level visibility of risk and opportunity
Translate technical complexity into decision-ready options
Support diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition transformation
Contribute to board-level technology discussions where required
10+ years in enterprise architecture, technology transformation, or platform leadership
Desirable experience working with PE-backed or multi-entity organizations
Proven ability to assess as-is states and design target operating models
Strong data, platform, and security architecture background
Comfortable operating with senior executives and investors
Clear technology target operating models defined and adopted
Reduced technology risk and fragmentation across portfolio companies
