The TechDoc Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technical writers to ensure on time delivery of customer facing user documentation for Cytiva products globally to differentiate through class-leading user documentation.

This position reports to the Director Technical Documentation and is part of the Product Stewardship and Compliance organization within QARA, located in Uppsala, Sweden, and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Ensure successful on-time delivery of user documentation for Cytiva products. Managing a team supporting 70+ concurrent projects with critical timelines for product launches and customer deliveries.
• Provide guidance on strategic decisions regarding content, design, documentation strategy, tools, technical writing, project planning, stakeholder interactions etc. Follow up project status with direct reports and be the escalation path for project concerns.

• Monitor incoming work requests, resource planning and stakeholder communication. Synchronize and coordinate creation and updates of user documentation. Work closely with stakeholders to identify resource needs and define user documentation strategies.

• Drive alignment of user documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, branding and corporate requirements.
• People management of direct reports including work environment management/responsibility.
• Management of contractors, including recruitment, onboarding, follow up and termination.
• Drive continuous improvements of user documentation, and related processes and tools to ensure efficiency, quality and user experience.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in a science/engineering or related field, with an understanding of Cytiva products and their applications.
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing, Project management or as a people leader
• Understanding of relevant regulatory, quality and scientific fundamentals applicable to Cytiva products.
• Genuine interest in people management with proven leadership skills.
• Organizational savvy, strong on building connections and cross-functional collaboration, and meeting conflicting needs.
• Demonstrated ability to balance resources, timing and quality of outcomes. Strong on managing multiple projects and timelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – opportunities for occasional international travel (5-10%)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• XML based content management systems
• Cytiva products and organization.
