Job Description
Tasked with carrying out repairs to component level on a wide variety of electro-mechanical equipment used within the automated fare collection and ticketing industry. Supporting other areas of the business during upgrades to existing equipment, and development and rollout of new equipment.
Repairs to component level on a wide range of electro-mechanical devices
Dis assembly and re assembly using drawings and circuit diagrams
Documenting all repairs on customer services databases
Liaising with workshop management and other departments to deal with problems and inquiries
Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System
Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them.
Qualifications
Essential:
ONC level qualification in an electro mechanical or mechanical discipline
Desirable:
HNC or HND in an engineering discipline with an electro mechanical or mechanical bias
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
Previous experience in an electro-mechanical repair workshop or production environment
Extensive experience in the use of hand tools & basic soldering equipment
Experience in the test of electro mechanical assemblies using off the shelf and custom built test tools
Desirable:
Previous experience with automatic revenue collection equipment and passenger control systems
Some knowledge of using PC driven test tools, and software loading to devices
Knowledge of ISO9001

Computer literate – knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, and database systems
