What Youâll DoÂ
Weâre a high-performing, collaborative team that thrives on turning strategy into results. On any given day, youâll collaborate with your team to strategize, grow and manage your book of business, build lasting client partnerships, and prospect new opportunitiesâwhether in the office or out in the field. Â
Youâll be at the forefront of driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Youâll also partner with existing clients to optimize their digital advertising strategies and amplify the impact of Cox Mediaâs media solutions.Â
Cultivate new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients through proactive outreach and upselling to drive incremental revenue.Â
Sell a mix of customized advertising solutions tailored to client goals across Cox Mediaâs multichannel portfolio, including TV, digital video, streaming, display, social media, and paid search.Â
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and sustained revenue growth.Â
Champion Cox Mediaâs advertising solutions by educating clients on how data-driven strategies can elevate their brand and deliver measurable outcomes.Â
Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients in leveraging digital and cross-platform campaigns to build brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and achieve business goals.Â
Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that clearly showcase the value and impact of Cox Mediaâs advertising solutions.Â
Youâll develop and build an expansive book of business, combining strategic prospectingâincluding cold calling, door-to-door outreach, and lead generationâwith consultative account management to deliver results.Â
Collaborate with internal teamsâincluding creative, research, and digital, to deliver seamless campaign execution, optimize performance, and ensure client satisfaction.Â
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications in CRM systems.Â
Represent Cox Media with energy and excellenceâwhether you're in the office managing accounts, or out in the field prospecting.Â
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, competitor activities and represent Cox Media in the local community to generate leads.Â
What You BringÂ
Skills and Requirements:Â
Minimum QualificationsÂ
6 yearsâ experience in a related field in lieu of a degree. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as bachelorâs degree and 2 yearsâ experience in a related field or; a masterâs degree and up to 2 yearsâ experience.Â
Proven success in sales/business development: identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and exceeding sales goals.Â
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to close deals and foster long-term partnerships.Â
Ability to use data in the development and sale of a media strategy.Â
Skilled at presenting complex solutions in a simple, easy-to-understand manner.Â
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high levels of client relationships and business excellence.Â
A valid driverâs license, good driving record and reliable transportation.Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
Expert in prospecting new business and nurturing existing client relationships through consultative selling and deep digital marketing expertise to deliver impactful, customized solutions.Â
Demonstrated success in developing strategic advertising solutions informed by a deep understanding of the evolving digital and media landscape.Â
Proven experience selling multi-platform digital advertising and media solutions, with a strong ability to adopt new technologies and approaches in a fast-changing environment.Â
Industry certifications and/or Google Ads certification (formerly AdWords).Â
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering business excellence.Â
Comfort with hybrid work (3 in-office collaboration days per week).Â
