Position Overview
The ME Expansion & Strategic Accounts Senior Sales Manager will lead new business and expansion growth opportunities for Autodeskâs AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Owners) organization across the Middle East region. This role focuses on driving strategic account expansion, unlocking whitespace opportunities, and accelerating growth within key and multinational customers.
We are seeking a strategic, commercially driven sales leader who can navigate complexity, scale high-impact accounts, and lead through transformation. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with technical understanding and brings a proven track record in complex B2B SaaS sales, particularly within expansion and strategic account management. This leader will operate across multiple layers of the organization and collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to shape and execute Autodeskâs Middle East AECO growth strategy.
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Performance
Lead and empower a team of account executives focused on strategic accounts and expansion opportunities across the Middle EastÂ
Drive growth through account expansion, cross-sell, upsell, and penetration into high-value customersÂ
Ensure team consistently meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining strong, high-quality pipelinesÂ
Coach team through complex, high-value enterprise sales cycles, including executive engagement, stakeholder alignment, negotiations, and procurement processesÂ
Strategy & Execution
Define and execute the Middle East expansion strategy aligned with Autodeskâs global AECO prioritiesÂ
Identify whitespace opportunities within strategic and multinational accounts and build targeted expansion plansÂ
Analyze regional market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends to inform growth strategiesÂ
Develop and implement multi-year strategic and operational plans, including financial and organizational considerationsÂ
Forecasting & Operational Excellence
Own the accuracy and predictability of expansion forecasts and pipeline health across strategic accountsÂ
Lead rigorous pipeline and forecast reviews to ensure disciplined executionÂ
Embed best-in-class sales methodologies (e.g., TAS, value-based selling) across team
Optimize resource allocation to ensure effective coverage of key accounts and opportunitiesÂ
Executive Engagement & Strategic Relationships
Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders across key customers and partnersÂ
Position Autodesk as a strategic partner by clearly articulating business value and transformation outcomesÂ
Identify gaps in partner capabilities and collaborate with ecosystem teams to strengthen delivery and scaleÂ
Cross-Functional & ATU Collaboration
Lead integrated account planning and execution across the Account Team Unit (ATU), aligning sales, technical specialists, customer success, marketing, renewals, and partnersÂ
Drive collaboration on multinational and strategic accounts across regionsÂ
Partner with marketing and ecosystem teams to accelerate demand generation and expansion within existing customersÂ
Work closely with Customer Success and Renewals teams to ensure adoption, value realization, and long-term customer growthÂ
People Leadership & Culture
Lead across multiple organizational layers with a focus on coaching, talent development, and succession planningÂ
Build a high-performance, inclusive culture grounded in accountability, clarity, and trustÂ
Champion a people-first leadership approach that fosters engagement, wellbeing, and belonging across a diverse regional teamÂ
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of progressive leadership experience Â
Experience leading sales teams across multiple countries or regions, ideally in the Middle EastÂ
Experience working in a SaaS business modelÂ
Proven experience in driving expansion growth within large, complex accountsÂ
Demonstrated success in executive selling and closing complex, high-value dealsÂ
Proficiency with Salesforce.com or similar CRM toolsÂ
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating within the Middle East market and understanding regional business dynamicsÂ
Background in AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Owners) industryÂ
Experience managing strategic or global accounts and multinational customersÂ
Track record of leading go-to-market or business model transformationsÂ
