Operates under the direct supervision of the department manager or designated supervisor. The role does not typically include supervisory responsibilities but may occasionally provide guidance to junior staff or new hires as part of onboarding and training processes. The position is expected to work independently on routine tasks while seeking direction for more complex assignments. Analysts are responsible for managing their own workload and deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. They may also collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to achieve department goals.

Description of Duties and Tasks
Assist the Associate Vice Chancellor of Distance Education in overseeing the daily digital accessibility operations, ensuring that digital learning environments and instructional content are consistently designed for universal access and ADA compliance.
Collaborate with the Associate Vice Chancellor to develop digital accessibility plans to support online and digital learning.
Evaluate digital learning assets (e-learning modules, PDFs, websites, videos) for WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and Section 508 compliance.
Perform manual testing using assistive technologies (such as screen readers and keyboard navigation) and automated tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE).
Develop technical plans to fix accessibility barriers in content and systems, working with instructional designers and faculty.
Advise instructional designers, course developers, and faculty on best practices, conducts workshops, and creates accessibility training materials.
Document audit findings, track remediation progress, and maintain accessibility reports to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with product teams to integrate accessibility considerations into the design and development process from the outset.
Support the resolution of accessibility issues and complaints.
Promote the benefits of accessible technologies.
Provide direct services as needed and maintain consistent and positive customer relations, responding to internal/external inquiries in an efficient and timely manner.
Stay current on accessibility laws, guidelines (such as WAI-ARIA), and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
Job Requirements
