Overall Responsibility
Sales manager provides leadership and management of the direction, planning, and execution of sales activities for expanding its sales achievement in area of Military, Industry, Automotive, Medical, Data Centre, Networking and Consumers.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Works with Taiwan Management and corporate headquarters as appropriate to manage all aspects of the responsible area’s business: goals and reporting, product allocations, leveraging resources, pricing.
Develop a vision of what the Sales team should be and how we can better penetrate the market
Provides roadmap/business plan for area to ensure everyone is in alignment.
Pull entire organization forward and drives output from other teams outside of Sales: Technical support, Marketing and QA.
Works closely with corporate headquarters and distributors to eliminate potential roadblocks to business development.
Will need to be high energy and highly passionate about the job and create a high sense of urgency
Command respect throughout the company and with customers
Takes ownership of corporate policies and define own policies where absent
Lead and drives team to higher standards
People Management
Establish a culture of ownership by setting goals, driving execution, monitoring metrics, and adjusting (PDCA)
Facilitate and foster consistent communication and good working relationship between the Sales team and other teams across the Company worldwide
Builds executive relationship with key customers and mentors staff to do same.
Establish self as trusted mentor by coaching, directing, and helping team with career planning
Lead team to successfully execute against a plan to sell all products/services.
Sales Promotion
Develop vision of responsible area growth deeper penetration into fewer accounts and continuously communicates process to Sales
Generate Business plan for top key accounts including opportunity mapping, competitive analysis, and organization mapping.
Recognizes area potential and expands business into new customer base to establish new accounts in area
Develop deep understanding of customers’ markets, competencies, obstacles
Engage with FAE to build technical and business credibility with customers’ management
Drives Design Registrations and Design Wins to Regional VP’s defined target.
Measures forecast accuracy base upon weekly revenue and account commitments.
Demonstrate exceptional concern for solving customer problems.
Coaches Sales to develop strategic plans and tactical sales strategies for deepening ’s relationship with customers.
Coach team to hunt and persuade customers
Channel Management
Establish clear partitioning between channel Sales and Altera Sales teams
Assure sales proficiency in the Distribution channel by sponsoring development programs
Engage with distributor management to set goals and measure output of distributor sales teams

Qualifications
Business & Technical knowledge
Deep understanding of semiconductor sales process
FPGA experience will be highly preferred.
Understanding of semiconductor technologies. (Device Technology. Design Technology, System Technology)
Understanding of Industry, Automotive, Medical and consumers Business.
More than 8 years of Semiconductors (Logic Devices) business experiences.
Global Business experiences.
Experiences of working for foreign owned organization or having oversees assignment
Experiences of conducting global business.
Worked closely with people having variety of cultural backgrounds
Communication
Logically communicate with variety of stakeholders to drive the best solution and conclusion.
Good command of English
