What you Need to Know:
We areseekinga customer-focused, compassionate individual todrive an American Red Cross vehicle to pick-up,deliverandproperly storeproducts and other lightweight materialsfollowingan assigned route or on an as-needed basis.You would also performadditionaltransport or loading duties to support ARC Blood Services.Â

Key Responsibilities:
Operatevehiclefor the delivery of blood products and materials safely and within traffic laws.
Prepare fordeliveries by verifying orders, loading vehicles, andmaintainingroute supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers.âŻÂ
Document temporary storage and transportation of blood, blood products, and materials as required by internal and external regulatory requirements.Â
Provide customer service by giving basic information and interacting in apositiveproactive manner with employees.Â
Maintain excellent vehicle conditions by keeping vehicle clean and checking fluid and gas levels
Provide shipping and receiving support as directed. Â

Standard Schedule: Part-time weekends. Saturday and Sunday, with some fill-in work during the week as needed. 6am - 4pm.
Pay Information:Â $17 an hour.
What you Need to Succeed:
High School or equivalent required.Â
Valid driverâs license and clean DMV recordrequired
 accommodationÂ
Previousexperience witha messengerservice or trucking company preferred.Â
Ability to drive forlong periodsof time.Â
Physical Requirements:Â Â
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel,reach withhands andarmsand talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs unassisted.⯠Frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds on flat flooring or ramps. Frequently required to stand forlong periods, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilitiesrequiredfor this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand ability to adjust and focus. Able to withstand temperatures in a typical blood banking environment including refrigerators and freezers. Position may require climbing of step ladders.âŻOperational flexibility isrequiredto meet sudden and unpredictable needs.âŻ
