TheĀ Principal Solutions Consultant is responsible for leading highly complex pre-sales engagements, guiding account strategy, and positioning IDBS' platforms as a key component of customers' digital and scientific transformation initiatives. This role partners closelywith Account Managers,Product and Customers Success, to shape customer strategy, influence enterpriseālevel decisions, anddemonstratehow IDBS solutions drive measurable business outcomes across thebiopharmaceuticallifecycle. The Principal Solutions consultant will use their deep scientific informatics expertise and strategic consulting experience to serve as a trusted advisor to Biopharma organizations.
This position reports to the Manager, Solutions Consulting and is part of the global solutions consulting team. The position is based in the UK and will be fully remote, supporting global engagements.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
Act as atrusted strategic advisorto customer executives, scientific leaders, and IT stakeholders, aligning informatics solutions to business and scientificobjectives.
Leadcomplex preāsales engagements, including discovery, executive workshops, RFPs/RFIs, and valueābased demonstrations.Ā Develop and articulateenterpriseālevel value propositions, including ROI models, business cases, and digital transformation roadmaps.
Partner with Account Managers to shapeaccount strategy, opportunity qualification, and deal executionfor highāvalue, strategic accounts.
Influence internal strategyandmaintaincommercial awarenessbyprovidingfeedback to Product Managers and Marketing on IDBSā customers,competitors,and technology trends.
Proactively learn how to configure and demonstrate IDBS software and work within the solutions consultingteam to review and improve our pre-sales materials.
The essential requirements of this job include:
Degreeālevel qualification (or equivalent experience) in a scientific discipline such as Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, orrelatedfield.
3ā5+ years of industry experience in Clinical Bioanalysis within pharmaceutical companies, CROs, or bioanalytical laboratories, including smallmolecule, largemolecule, and ADC bioanalysis.
6+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Technical Sales, Sales Engineering, or Strategic Consulting, supporting complex, enterpriseālevel customers.
Demonstrated handsāon experience using and configuring scientific informatics platforms (e.g., ELN, LIMS, LES,dataor laboratory management systems).
Proven ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including scientists, clinical teams, IT, senior management, and business sponsors, through clear, valueādriven communication of complex technical and scientific concepts.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:Ā
Willingnessand readyto travel both domestically and internationally to customer siteson short notice(minimum 25%)
It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:
Configuring software and/or using IDBS (or similar) products, Lab automation,SaaS, Cloud applications,andbioanalysisapplications
Partnering with sales on account planning and execution
Fluency in any of the following languages:English,German, Dutch, French, Korean, Japanese
