The aim of this research is to accurately predict andvalidatethe Shelf life of Sauces via Chemical,âŻPhysical,and Sensorial analysis to build a prediction model for Shelf life.
Assignments and key activities:
A validated Sauces Protocol for Shelf life in new packaging
Understanding the validation of the protocol for different recipes & packaging
Validate Emulsions &Non-EmulsionsSauces byShelf-lifemodellingÂ
Review of relevant literature Â
Perform Chemical, Physical and Packaging analysesÂ
PerformFlavoursAnalysis â Gas ChromatographyÂ
Update and or create a report about theShelf-lifesauces modelÂ
Chemical & Physical/Pack analyses to develop andvalidatethe protocol and modelÂ
Create a report on new packaging validation for other saucesÂ
Factory samples and Lab analysisÂ
Execute practical activities (including shelf life tasting and lab analysis)Â
Create periodic reports and presentations to keep team informed about findings and progressÂ
Sharing knowledge within the Innovationcenterand other departments as ofpackaging (presentation and final report)Â
Basic RequirementsÂ
You should havestrong communicationskills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus)âŻ
EU - Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch university for at least 50% of the duration of the internship.Â
Non - EU Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch University for the whole duration of the internship.
NOTE: EU working rights arerequired(Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa)âŻ
Team requirements
Food Technology Quality Management/Process Engineering/Food Chemistry/Food Microbiology/Chemical EngineerBachelor/Master studentÂ
Had classes on chromatography (GC,HPLC), chemical analysis,watercontent,wateractivityand rheometer
Experience in lab analysis is crucial
Experience in modelling of data is a plus
You are curious and eager to learn, you can work independentlyand, in a team,and areaccuratewith your work
