Basic Requirements for all:â¯
You should havestrong communicationskills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus)â¯
EU - Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch university for at least 50% of the duration of the internship.Â
Non - EU Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch University for the whole duration of the internship.
NOTE: EU working rights arerequired(Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa)â¯

Assignments and key activities:â¯
Participate in new packaging design & materials development,â¯
Supporting sustainable packaging projects (Rigid Plastic Packaging, Flexible PlasticPackaging, Fiber-based Packaging, Decarbonization)
Examples:
Scouting ofnew technologies:identifymaterials and converting solutions (Technical research, Meetings with suppliers, Creativity sessions, Consumers Insights analysis...)
Feasibility study:verification of the technical feasibility (Tests in the lab, Trials on the production lines...). Estimation of the material costs and investments. Benchmarking versus standard. Life Cycle Analysis. Compliance withregulations,recycling process.â¯
Review relevant literature and external information
Run small packaging projects independently

4thyear Bachelor or Master studentwith classes on packaging design/technology/polymers/fiber/sustainability/LCA:

Knowledge in packaging materials, packaging process, packaging legislations, packaging end of life process, and packaging lab tests
Knowledge in sustainability
Internship experience in packaging development/design or food/cosmetic/pharmaceutical company/packaging supplier is a plusâ¯
You are an analytical person, withgood communicationskills who can take initiative and ownershipâ¯and can work independently. Have good time management andproblem-solvingskills andisable to show adaptability.Â
