The role of the Accountant is a critical addition to the Finance/Accounting Team. The Accountant will have significant responsibilities in the monthly and annual general ledger close process and will maintain various reconciliations and reports. This role will work directly with various functional areas of the company and will have a direct impact in maintaining the financial integrity of a growing and exciting organization.This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
A day in the life as an Accountant...
Perform monthly journal entries and assist in monthly and annual general ledger closes.
Collaborate with the rest of the team to close each period timely and accurately.
Conduct various account reconciliations and analysis.
Prepare various schedules for audits, tax, or to fulfill other reporting requirements.
Manage and maintain ad hoc reporting and special projects.
Analyze monthly and quarterly expenses.
Provide financial reports to various departments or divisions.
Research accounting issues and provide recommendations.
Provide reporting and analysis on various accounts and focus on promoting sales or controlling expenses as they pertain to, or are driven by your position and the functional areas you support

A minimum of 2 years previous accounting experience

PeopleSoft or Hyperion experience a plus
