The Role
As Commercial Counsel working within our award-winning legal, privacy & compliance team, you’ll provide commercial, customer-centric outcomes to Perker's across a full range of revenue-generating deals (including partnerships) and advise on the set-up and
implementation of our more complex technology-focused supply arrangements. You will also be expected to provide support in relation to local Corporate initiatives, build key stakeholder relations, and there will be opportunities for you to broaden the remit of your work over time.

• You’ll help us build trust-based relationships with colleagues and end users of the Perk platform, and help shape the leading in-house legal team in tech.

This role sits within Perk’s legal team and reports to the Senior Director, Legal.
What You’ll Do
• Drive standards in commercial contracting across our global team
• Be responsible and accountable for Corporate matters delegated to you by our Chief Legal Officer — Perk is a ‘start-up for grown-ups’ and, so long as you adhere to our corporate values, you’ll be given very wide latitude to run things as you see fit
• Proactively and holistically identify areas of risk, and take appropriate action to mitigate risk in collaboration with accountable team members
• Investigate, implement, and tune policy to support global business governance and compliance — using a process-minded approach and the latest technology to improve efficiency and speed-to-market
• Interact with external lawyers and advisors within the framework of Perk’s legal panel
• Develop close relationships with key business stakeholders across our global offices, acting as a business partner to understand needs and objectives, and build legal outcomes accordingly
AI Fluency: What We Expect
At Perk, AI isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s how we work. Our legal team uses frontier AI models daily to scale our impact far beyond what headcount alone could achieve. We expect every lawyer on this team to be curious, capable, and opinionated when it comes to AI.
Specifically, we’re looking for someone who:
• Has genuine curiosity about frontier model capability — you follow what’s happening with LLMs and have a view on where they’re heading
• Is comfortable working in AI tools like Claude (including building skills files and workflows) and Gemini as part of their daily practice
• Has a thoughtful opinion on how the practice of law will evolve — and is excited to be part of shaping that evolution rather than watching it happen
• Understands (or wants to understand) the regulatory landscape around AI — including the EU AI Act and emerging global frameworks
You don’t need to be a context engineer on day one. But you do need to arrive with curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and the conviction that AI will fundamentally change how legal teams operate.
