About This Role

We are looking forFull‑Stack Software Engineerswho enjoy working across the technology stack—from user experiences and APIs to distributed backend systems—and who are excited to builddata‑driven and AI‑enabled platforms.

In this role, you will partner with product managers, designers, architects, and fellow engineers to build intuitive, scalable, and resilient solutions used by BlackRock teams and over 100 external organizations globally.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and deliverend‑to‑end featuresacross the stack, including frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data layers
• Partner with product owners, UX designers, and architects to translatebusiness requirements into user‑centric and scalable technical solutions
• Buildmodern, responsive web applicationswhile ensuring strong backend performance and reliability
• Design and implementmicroservices and APIsthat power enterprise‑grade platforms
• Integratedata‑driven and AI‑enabled capabilitiessuch as analytics, intelligent workflows, or decision‑support features
• Applyresponsible engineering practiceswhen working with data, models, and AI‑powered systems
• Writewell‑tested, maintainable, and secure code, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and operational excellence using AI tools.
• Continuously adopt newframeworks, tools, and best practicesacross full‑stack, cloud, and AI technologies

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands‑on experiencedeveloping enterprise‑grade software systems
• Strong backend engineering experience inJava, including:
• Microservices architecture
• Spring / Spring Boot
• Hibernate or equivalent ORM frameworks
• Experience buildingREST and/or gRPC APIs
• Strong understanding ofdata structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design
• Experience withfrontend development, using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular or React)
• Familiarity withSQL and NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of theSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience buildingend‑to‑end web and backend applications, including UI design considerations, API contracts, and backend scalability
• Experience integratingAI or data‑driven systemsinto full‑stack applications
• Understanding ofAI fundamentals, including model lifecycle concepts (training, inference, evaluation, monitoring)
• Familiarity with usingAI coding toolto develop application end to end.
• Experience withcloud platforms, ideallyMicrosoft Azure
• Exposure todistributed systems and event‑driven architectures(e.g., Kafka, Cassandra)
• Experience usingcaching technologies(e.g., Redis, Apache Ignite) for responsive, scalable applications
• Knowledge ofFinance, Investments, or Post‑Trade processing

Our hybrid work model
