TheThematic Risk Assessmentteamsitswithin the Enterprise Risk Management group(a Second Line of Defense function)andhas enterprise-wide coveragethrough itsrisk and control assessmentprograms.The team’sBook of Workiscrucialtoboththe “true-up” understanding of our enterprise risk and control landscape andfacilitatingthetimelyidentification,analysisand treatment of gaps.Thesehelpprovide assurance thatsenior management has definedand implementedcontrols that protect our clientsandfirm,andsupport the achievement of firm-wide businessgoals within our risk tolerance.We strive tohelp senior managementclose the last mile with risk insights that aretimely,reliableand trackable.
What You Will BeDoing:
Your primary responsibilities include:
Perform independent evaluations ofbusinesses’risk and controlself-assessmentsand risk management strategies,and independent data metrics (e.g.business risk indicators and potential loss events) toidentifyrecurring risk themes and control weaknesses.
Perform and supportend-to-endtargetedassessments of enterprise risk themes(e.g.order processing & management risk, concentrationriskand technology risk)to uncover systemic patterns, blindspotsand early-warning indicators,including independent testing of operating controls against industry standards and internal policies and standards.
Identifyand analyze cross-functional risk issues tofacilitateconsistent and sustainable control improvements firmwide.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate,developand implement pragmatic actions that address thematic risk gaps that wereidentified.
Build andmaintainaninternal repository toascertainand quantify the potential risks of identifiedenterpriserisk themes using toolssuch as (but not limited to) Python, Power BI,Excel,and SQL.
Preparedetailedassessmentreportshighlightingrisk prioritiesandcontrol deficiencies or designgaps,andproposingpragmaticrecommendationsforremediation.
Support continuous improvements to enterprise risk and control assessment programs.
WhatWe Look For:
The successful candidateshould have a keen interest inperformingrisk and control assessments,analyzingdata,identifyingand managingrisks,performingdata visualization,andproposingpragmaticremedialmeasuresfor a robust control environment.
1-3yearsofpractical experience inEnterpriseRiskManagement&/or Assessment,Control Testing (Operational; Technology),Risk&/or Compliance,Data Analytics,or Audit(experience earned in Asset Management or Banking industry is preferred).
Demonstrable ability toidentifyand analyze risk and control issues, challenge the status quo and work with cross-functionaland internationalteams to ideate pragmatic solutions that strengthen therisk andcontrol environment.
Goodunderstanding of industry-leading practices and control frameworks (e.g.CRI Profile, NIST CSF,COSO ERM Framework,ISO 27001,SOC
