Seeking a Software Data Engineer to support ourDefense customersupporting the planning, managing, and executing operations across the electromagneticspectrum, maintainingExtract, Transform, and Load workflows that ingest, transform, and store mission data on edge systems that may operate without consistent connectivity. This role will also support the modernization of legacy Java applications and integration with AWScloud-based infrastructure.

This role will require you to lead the development of aDDIL-capable ETL pipelinefor ingesting, transforming, and storing data on edge nodes with limited connectivity and constrained compute resources. This includes hardware integration and further improvements to operate on lowSWaPhardware. Additionally, you will be designing solutions that supportlocal data processing and storage with eventual synchronization to cloud environments.

You Have:âŻ
5+ years of experience in software development withback-end and front-endprogramming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks,includingJava, Spring, Rust, Python,React, and TypeScriptÂ
Experience writing source code for new applicationsor generating and enhancing code samples for existing applicationsâŻÂ
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional teamtobuildscalable, secure, and maintainable system architectures
Experiencebuilding andsupportingcloud infrastructureinAmazon Web Services,such asS3,Kubernetes, Helm, andTerraform
Experienceimplementingintegration points that write processed data to cloud object storage
Experience developingETL pipelines and distributed data processing systemsÂ
Experience leadingmodernization and migration of legacy Java enterprise applicationsinto containerized, cloud-hosted environments
Knowledge of edge computing or disconnected environmentsÂ
Ability to obtain a Secret clearanceâŻÂ
Bachelor's degree or8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degreeâŻÂ

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individualâs particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allenâs total compensation package for employees.
