Reporting into Head of New Business, this role is within the Petfood & Other Beverage team. As the Senior Brand Manager, you will work on some Iconic Kiwi brands such as Chef & Raro, helping develop and implement marketing activities to achieve ambitious portfolio growth strategies, backed by global resources and learnings. You will also support in NPD for strategic channels.

Key responsibilities
Own the development and implementation of strategic brand plans for our Pet & Powdered beverage categories, as well as our strategic channels in New Zealand - driving long-term, sustainable growth in line with overall business objectives.
Lead the planning and execution of fully integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising, POS, consumer promotions, packaging updates, and brand communications across digital, social, retail and OOH channels.
Drive brand and category performance by leveraging insights from market research, brand health tracking, and in-market results, providing recommendations for growth.
Drive brand and category performance by leveraging insights from market research, category scan data and Dunnhumby/Quantium insights.
Analyse global consumer trends, behavioural insights, and the competitive landscape to identify innovation opportunities and inform portfolio strategy.
Lead cross-functional NPD (project management) initiatives from ideation through to commercialisation and post-launch review, including business case development and go-to-market strategy.
Partner with external agencies and internal stakeholders (e.g. designers, ATL/BTL agencies, University partners, research agencies, printers, copackers, ingredient suppliers) to develop best-in-class assets, campaigns, and product innovation
Manage brand financial performance including monthly P&L oversight, marketing budget optimisation, and ROI analysis, ensuring efficient deployment of resources.
Provide commercial leadership through margin analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and pricing strategies in collaboration with the Commercial Manager.
Influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to align on strategic direction and innovation priorities.
Partner with the Sales teams to build retailer range review presentations and updates on NPD, communications plans & innovation sessions
What you'll bring
Strong project management skills and ability to manage tight timelines
Ability to analyse and interpret data to make recommendations
Ability to think strategically and translate this thinking into measurable actions
Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
Bachelor degree in business (or related)
Minimum 5 years in marketing (or marketing related) experience
Sales experience is an advantage
Brand management experience in a similar industry
Understanding of marketing processes and systems
Strong A&P cost management and forecasting/budgeting experience
