As a Plant Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by developing and implementing policies and procedures that drive a zero-accident culture. You will provide leadership, support, and direction to advance safety initiatives and foster a culture where every individual takes ownership of their own safety and the safety of those around them. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert, interpreting and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations. You will also build strong, positive relationships with regulatory agencies, community leaders, and industry partners to position the plant as a recognized leader in safety and health.
What You’ll Do
Management of an effective and practical Health & Safety program that meets regulatory compliance and business needs.
Coordination of the Industrial Hygiene Monitoring program.
Development of Health & Safety training.
Analysis of job hazards.
Have an effective working relationship with the Site Manager.
Advise and lead POC and plant on Health & Safety issues.
What We’re Looking For
BS in Safety Engineering, Industrial hygiene, or technical Degree or 4-year degree with CSP or CIH Certifications.
4-7 years' experience working as a safety professional or industrial hygienist in an industrial environment or related technical experience.
3 years' experience as a Health & Safety manager in manufacturing environment.
What Will Set You Apart
Knowledge of OSHA Health & Safety regulations.
Able to lead the development and implementation of H&S programs.
Possess a solid background to work with regulatory agencies.
Strong planning, communicating, writing and organizational skills.
Operation of general H&S equipment and basic computer skills.
