As the Focus Improvement (FI) Manager, you will lead the FI pillar with creative and strategic thinking to drive high process maturity. You will be responsible for building plantâwide understanding and effective application of FI and Lean tools. In this role, you act as a change agent, driving loss reduction and ensuring continuous progress toward AOP and TDC targets, quality objectives, and customer responsiveness.
You will also provide business insights to the GPS steering committee and pillar teams, identify improvement opportunities, and lead highâvalue projects through effective hopper management.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
- You lead plantâwide FI project selection and implementation, applying creative problemâsolving to deliver AOP savings.
- You promote bestâpractice sharing and replication across the plant.
Capability Management
- You govern FI tactics and ensure alignment with all key stakeholders.
- You build a strong problemâsolving culture focused on loss elimination and performance improvement.
- You are responsible for capability development across all levels (YB/GB).
Process BuildâUp and Governance
- You develop the plantâs FI processes based on the FI playbook, including loss analysis, project identification, and project execution.
- You utilize standard or customized dashboards to highlight deviations and drive effective gap closure.
Maturity Management
- You drive improvements in FI maturity based on assessment outcomes.
- You lead the development and deployment of the FI maturity master plan linked to business results.
Audit & Reporting
- You ensure that FI systems comply with customer and regulatory audit requirements.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of AP/local FI reports (e.g., MOR, AOP reviews).
Education & Certifications
- You hold a Bachelorâs degree (mandatory), Master's degree (desirable)
Experience
- You have 10+ years of experience in tire manufacturing (preferred).
- You possess working knowledge of TPM/TPS, Lean, and Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment.
- You have spent a minimum of 3 years as a CI or FI Manager at the plant level.
- You bring strong teaching and coaching experience in problemâsolving and project management.
- You are a Certified TrainâtheâTrainer.
- You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- You are skilled in statistical tools such as JASP, Quantum XL, and Minitab.
