The Graphic Design Intern will playan important rolein helping communicate our organization's mission and initiatives through visual storytelling. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experienceassistingin the creation of compelling graphics and designs within a fast-paced non-profit environment. Working closely with our Graphic Design team, the intern will provide support across digital, print, and social media projects while learning aboutmaintainingbrand consistency and executing effective visual communication campaigns.
Duration: 10-week summer internship program from June 1 - August 7, 2026. Exact start and end dates are flexible based on the academic schedule.
Compensation:This is a paid internship at $20/hour, 10-15 hours a week.
- Design Support: Assist the Graphic Design team in creating visual assets for print, digital, and social media platforms. This may include infographics, presentations, ads, website graphics, social media images, etc.
- Branding: Provide support inmaintainingbrand style guides and ensuring consistency across designed materials.
- Production: Help the design teamfinalizefiles and prepare designs for production across various mediums and vendors.
- Asset Management:Assistin organizing andmaintaininglibraries of graphic assets, images, and design files.
- Design Research: Conduct research to inform design decisions, including investigating current trends and examples from competitors or industry leaders.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the Graphic Design team as needed.
- Presently enrolled in a California community college, pursuing anassociate'sdegree or certificate in Graphic Design, FineArtsor related program.Â
- Strong visual communication and design abilities
- Experience with graphic design platforms andtools
- Knowledge of brand style guides and consistency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritizedeliverables
- Experience working with graphic design andphotography
- Proficiencyin Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
