Alpine Laser, a division of Machine Solutions, specializes in precision laser processing workstations (such as the Medicut PRO Series) for medical device manufacturing. This includes laser tube cutting, micromachining, ablation, drilling, welding, and related processes for components like stents, hypotubes, catheters, and other interventional devices.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician II is responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex mechanical and electromechanical laser workstations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring systems are built to specification, meet quality standards, and are ready for internal testing and customer delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assemble mechanical and electromechanical systems, including frames, motion systems, tooling, and fixturing
· Integrate pre-built electrical control panels into machine systems and complete all system-level wiring and connections
· Route, terminate, and label electrical wiring, cables, and pneumatic lines with a high level of precision and organization
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions
· Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of mechanical and electrical assemblies
· Collaborate with engineering and applications teams to resolve build issues and improve system designs
· Maintain accurate build records and documentation throughout the assembly process
· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly processes, quality, and efficiency
· Assist with panel building and other manufacturing tasks as needed
· Ad-hoc projects as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
With or without reasonable accommodation, the role requires frequent standing, sitting, talking, hearing, using hands to handle/feel/reach, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and occasional stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Vision requirements include ability to adjust focus and identify/distinguish colors (critical for part inspection and laser alignment/safety).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Time spent in a lab/manufacturing setting with laser equipment, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels (e.g., equipment operation, computers). Minimal exposure to wet/humid conditions or caustic chemicals. On-site customer visits may involve varied industrial environments.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid US Passport and willingness/desire to travel domestically and internationally.
General understanding of electrical control systems, AC/DC power, and basic machine safety.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools (CAGILA experience preferred; others like SolidWorks or similar acceptable).
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-service orientation in a regulated medtech environment.
