Manager Indirect Tax Compliance
What you will do
Letâs do this. Letâs change the world. For this new role, we are seeking an Indirect Tax Compliance Manager to assist establishing a Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on VAT and GST compliance across multiple regions and managing Amgenâs VAT/GST compliance. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of indirect tax operations and driving compliance efficiency.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a passion for technology, automation, and process excellence.
Responsibilities
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure accurate and timely issuance and receipt of e-invoices in accordance with governing indirect tax / e-invoicing legislation.
Monitor VAT/GST changes in the area of e-invoicing and assess impact on compliance processes and technology set-up.
Proactively manage internal controls relating to e-invoicing and triage of issues.
Technology Transformation
Roll out of e-invoicing mandates in various countries using SAP DRC technology.
Collaborate with IT and external vendors
As E-invoicing processor you will be reporting to the Senior Manager Indirect Tax Compliance.
Qualifications
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.
Minimum Requirements
Masterâs degree and 3+ years of e-invoicing experience OR
Bachelorâs degree and 6+ years of e-invoicing experience
Preferred Requirements
Academic degree or equivalent diploma in Accounting / Finance, Tax Law or Tax Economics
Experience with e-invoicing set-up in a VAT compliance and/or advisory role within the Big Four accounting firms or within a financial/tax department of a large multi-national company
Understanding of indirect tax legislation with respect to e-invoicing
Demonstrated capability to learn quickly, being open and flexible to changes, in a multi-national environment
Attention to detail
Strong computer skills with emphasis on SAP, S/4 Hana DRC and Vertex
Competencies
Is results oriented and reliable
Applies a customer focus to the compliance related activities
Works accurately and detailed within a given deadline
