We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test who can take ownership of testing efforts for key product areas and contribute meaningfully to both functional and API test automation. You will be a dependable contributor within the QA team, expected to independently plan and execute testing activities, build robust automated test suites, and collaborate cross-functionally to uphold product quality across our enterprise platform.
You'll join a dynamic team of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to architect and deliver cutting-edge features that power a platform used by some of the world’s leading organisations. 📌 This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada, the UK, and India. To accommodate the time zone differences, you will be expected to work from 11 AM to 7:30 PM IST.
Own end-to-end testing for assigned feature areas, including test planning, execution, automation, and sign-off.
Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test suites using Playwright with a focus on reliability and scalability.
Build and maintain API tests to validate backend services, integrations, and data flows.
Actively participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to identify testability gaps early.
Analyze test results, investigate failures, and work with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
Contribute to the team's automation framework, utilities, and shared libraries.
Assist in defining and refining QA standards, best practices, and test strategies within the team.
Support release cycles with thorough regression testing and risk-based test prioritization.
Must Have
4–7 years of overall experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation.
Proven experience in API testing and/or automation (using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API testing, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing for enterprise applications.
Comfortable working with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into build pipelines.
Good understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good to Have
Working knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript.
Prior experience with Cypress or other UI automation frameworks.
Familiarity with performance testing concepts.

This hybrid role will likely be based in one of our key India hubs: Ahmedabad, with the expectation of working from our co-working space 3 days per week. This approach is intentionally designed to give you the best of both worlds: high-impact, in-person collaboration with your team to drive impactful product initiatives, and the flexibility of focused work-from-home days.
Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in 🇨🇦 Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), 🇬🇧 London, and 🇮🇳 India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru).
Our India/UK hub employees work according to business hours stated in the job description above. This is intentionally designed to enable our global teams to have overlapping hours for collaboration.
