Tertiary students are provided with practical work experience opportunities to observe and perform tasks under supervision within the Universal and Enhanced Maternal Child Health Service. Opportunities will be provided to attend groups such as Babies in Hume, Breastfeeding support service and sleep and settling to complete the mandatory clinical placement component of the course.
Tertiary students studying toward a qualification in Maternal & Child Health must be a registered Nurse & Midwife, Placement is conditional upon being accepted into an approved program of study in Maternal & Child Health. The placement will be unpaid.
