Scope of Position:
The Regional Project Cargo Management Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing logistics projects that support business development, commercial growth, and strategic initiatives. This role combines project leadership, operational excellence with strong analytical and commercial capabilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with business objectives. Expeditors Project Cargo Services business consists of both ad hoc heavy and over dimensional cargo and EPC/ project logistic opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of project experience, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Specialized Cargo shipments. Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of commercial and development-focused projects.
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, resources, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Analyze commercial data, market trends, and internal KPIs to support decision-making.
- Document compliance. Prepare clear project documentation, including offers, execution plans, status reports, presentations, and updates for leadership.
- Collaborate closely with business development, commercial, operations, and product teams to align project outcomes with strategic goals.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; propose mitigation actions to maintain project momentum.

- Support commercial initiatives related to customer engagement, partner development, product enhancement, or market expansion.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project execution.
- Drive the development of new service providers and enhance rate-negotiation performance.
- Onsite support in supervision of loading, packing, and coordination of project moves.
