The Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. This role ensures that critical instruments remain clean, functional, and available to support testing activities. The ideal candidate is detail鈥憃riented, highly organized, and comfortable working collaboratively with laboratory scientists in a fast鈥憄aced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for routine laboratory equipment maintenance needs.
- Refill incubator water on a routine schedule to ensure proper function.
- Coordinate and perform annual disinfection of incubators and biosafety cabinets.
- Conduct monthly freezer de鈥慽cing to support optimal equipment performance.
- Coordinate and perform annual freezer defrosts.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory scientists to schedule maintenance around active testing and minimize disruptions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed and as time permits.
