We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud environments to support the build and operation of our Open Telekom Cloud Landing Zone for the DT IT environment.
You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers and architects to design, implement, and operate infrastructure-as-code, networking, security guardrails, automation, and monitoring solutions in an enterprise-scale environment.
This role is suited for someone with solid cloud fundamentals who is ready to take ownership, deepen their technical expertise, and grow towards a Cloud Engineering or Architecture career path.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Work in an agile setup, collaborating closely within the team, across the Domain, and with Deutsche Telekom platform customers
- Apply a DevOps and continuous improvement mindset to daily work
- Contribute to building a reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platform in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Design and maintain the Landing Zone in alignment with security and privacy requirements
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible) to deliver repeatable, production-grade environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components (VPCs, routing, VPN, load balancing, DNS, interconnectivity, distributed networks, and integration with cloud services) following established design patterns
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, and contribute to alert tuning and runbook improvements
- Automate routine platform operations (CI/CD pipelines, scripts, tooling)
- Maintain high-quality documentation and contribute to platform standards and guidelines
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and proactively suggest improvements to the platform
