The Electrical Engineer IV serves as the discipline lead at the project level, overseeing electrical design and managing budgets for projects ranging from simple to highly complex. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical documentation development and field implementation across all project phases.
The Electrical Engineer IV is responsible for:
- Coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
- Managing multiple priorities and complex tasks.
- Directing and mentoring electrical design and engineering staff (Entry-Level through Senior).
- Ensuring workflows align with client expectations and project goals.
The Electrical Engineer IV may work independently or under the direction of a Project Manager and plays a key role in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary electrical discipline lead for large, complex projects.
- Manage project budgets and schedules from an electrical design perspective.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead electrical system design programming and master planning.
- Oversee quality assurance for design documents and calculations.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Support construction activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reporting.
- Develop and deliver internal training presentations on electrical design and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on proposals, resource planning, and scheduling for electrical scope of work.
