The Senior Project Manager leads complex design projects that are larger in scope, value, and technical complexity than those typically managed by a Project Manager. This role provides overall direction for project planning and execution, leads multidisciplinary design teams, and serves as a key point of contact for clients. The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering high-quality design solutions while building strong, long-term client relationships.
Projects may involve multiple disciplines, subconsultants, and stakeholders and require close coordination across teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of complex design projects from kickoff through completion.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for high-visibility projects.
- Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including internal staff and external subconsultants.
- Serve as a primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges related to design coordination, resourcing, and execution.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Project Managers and project team members as needed.
- Support collaboration across design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
