P/T Computer Associate (Operations), Level I

The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) oversees critical projects and technological initiatives within the NYPD. They maintain and enhance the department's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations. Notably, the ITSD has rolled out various advancements, such as equipping officers with cellular phones applications and digitizing department forms to improve efficiency.

ITSD is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of P/T Computer Associate (Operations), Level I who will:
- Be responsible for dealing with the building and upgrade of systems in a complex computer environment which includes a large communications network. This will include correspondence verifying building and upgrading systems from the clients to System engineers, completing the specified build.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and diagnose the requirements clients are requesting to ensure strict compliance and adherence to our strict network and systems infrastructure standards in our environment.
- When feasible, will act as a technical liaison to maintain efficient functioning of telecommunications and system hardware problems to minimize downtime in the case of system failure.
