This position supports the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Engineering and Technical Support (RETS) program. This position provides expert-level systems engineering support for complex DoD problems including mission engineering, systems engineering, kill chain analysis, and advanced technology assessment across multiple domains and warfare areas.
Responsibilities:
⢠Lead the planning and execution of complex mission and systems analysis efforts
⢠Develop expert system solutions to complex and challenging DoD problems
⢠Conduct advanced systems engineering tasks including technology analysis and assessment, system definition, and systems analysis
⢠Develop systems architecture and architecture products for systems of systems (SoS)
⢠Perform kill chain analysis and SE tradespace analysis to define capability gaps
⢠Lead modeling and simulation activities for mission improvement
⢠Provide logistics support analysis for Department of Defense systems
⢠Serve as technical authority and provide expert advice to senior government personnel
⢠Interface with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analysis needs
⢠Lead technical teams and mentor junior engineering staff
⢠Develop and present technical briefings and reports to senior leadership
⢠Support acquisition milestone reviews and technical risk assessments
