AECOM are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join one of our building projects, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This is a site-based position where you will lead architectural design and delivery of complex projects, providing strategic vision and technical expertise. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project development, from conceptualization through completion, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of design excellence and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project requirements and constraints, providing strategic recommendations to optimize design outcomes, cost efficiency, and timeline delivery
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project phases
- Oversee the construction site to ensure that the architectural design is implemented correctly and according to the plans.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to resolve any design or construction issues.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, making adjustments to plans as necessary.
- Prepare and present progress reports to clients and stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from the plan and proposed solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the project.
