The Camp Aspen Snowmass (CAS) Counselor helps create unforgettable experiences for campers in a stunning mountain environment. As a Camp Counselor, you will lead both private and group programs, guiding children through exciting outdoor activities while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a deep love for nature. This position reports to the Director of Children鈥檚 Programs.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead campers in a variety of outdoor adventures, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging experience
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate, hands-on activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and teamwork
- Work collaboratively with fellow counselors to foster a supportive and energetic camp atmosphere
- Maintain awareness of each child鈥檚 location and well-being throughout the day
- Monitor and support camper health and safety, including administering basic first aid when necessary
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding camper experiences and progress
- Participate in camp-wide events and special programs to enhance the sense of community and camper engagement
- Assist with camper check-in and check-out procedures to ensure smooth transitions and clear communication with parents/guardians
