Weâre looking for a Senior Director, Tax & Treasury to lead the global tax and treasury functions for Collectors. This is a senior leadership role spanning domestic and international tax compliance, tax planning and strategy, transfer pricing, M&A tax structuring, joint venture tax considerations, and the full treasury function including cash management, debt and capital structure, foreign exchange, and banking relationships. Youâll manage an existing teamâincluding a Director of Tax and a Senior Tax Leadâwhile also building out the Treasury function with a new Treasury Lead hire. Collectors operates across the U.S., Japan, China, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France, with an active M&A history and joint venture partnerships, making this a role with significant global complexity and strategic impact.
Youâll report to the SVP, Financial Operations and work from our Santa Ana, CA corporate office headquarters.
What Youâll Do
Tax Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute the global tax strategy for Collectors, optimizing the companyâs effective tax rate while ensuring full compliance with all federal, state, local, and international tax obligations.
Lead tax planning initiatives across the corporate structure, including entity rationalization, holding company structuring, and intercompany arrangements that support the companyâs growth strategy.
Advise senior leadership and the Board on the tax implications of strategic decisions, capital allocation, and business model changes across all subsidiaries (PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, Card Ladder).
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across all jurisdictions where Collectors operates; proactively assess the impact of tax reform, new regulations, and emerging compliance requirements on the business.

International Tax & Transfer Pricing:
Own the international tax function across Collectorsâ operations in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France; ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and optimize the global tax position.
Design, implement, and maintain transfer pricing policies and intercompany agreements that are defensible, well-documented, and aligned with OECD guidelines and local country requirements.
Manage transfer pricing documentation, including master files, local files, and country-by-country reporting; coordinate with local advisors and in-country finance teams.
Oversee withholding tax, permanent establishment analysis, and cross-border cash repatriation strategies; partner with Treasury on the tax-efficient movement of funds across jurisdictions.
Lead relationships with international tax advisors and coordinate multi-jurisdictional tax audits and inquiries.
M&A Tax & Joint Ventures:
Serve as the tax lead on all M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, purchase price allocation, integration planning, and post-close optimization.
Provide tax structuring advice for joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and new business arrangements; model the tax implications of various deal structures and entity configurations.
Lead the integration of acquired entities into Collectorsâ tax compliance and reporting framework; ensure timely and accurate tax accounting for business combinations under ASC 740.
Advise on the tax treatment of earnouts, contingent consideration, non-compete agreements, and other deal-specific provisions.
Tax Compliance & Provision:
Oversee all domestic and international tax compliance, including federal, state, and local income tax returns, sales and use tax, property tax, and other indirect taxes.
Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process (ASC 740), including current and deferred tax calculations, rate reconciliation, uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), and valuation allowance assessments.
Manage tax audits at the federal, state, and international level; develop and execute audit defense strategies.
Ensure timely and accurate tax accounting entries and disclosures in the consolidated financial statements; partner closely with the Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting team.

Treasury & Cash Management:
Build and lead the Treasury function; hire and develop a Treasury Lead to manage day-to-day operations.
Oversee global cash management, including cash forecasting, liquidity planning, working capital optimization, and daily cash positioning across domestic and international accounts.
Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and debt covenants; negotiate banking agreements and optimize the companyâs banking structure.
Develop and execute the companyâs foreign exchange risk management strategy, including hedging policies and FX exposure monitoring across Collectorsâ international operations.
Oversee capital structure analysis and support strategic financing decisions; partner with senior leadership and equity sponsors on debt capacity, covenant compliance, and capital allocation.
Establish treasury policies, procedures, and controls; ensure compliance with internal control requirements and banking regulations.

Leadership & Team Development:
Lead and develop the Tax & Treasury team, including the Director of Tax, Senior Tax Lead, and Treasury Lead; set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and create development opportunities.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, proactive planning, and cross-functional collaboration within the team.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors, transfer pricing consultants, treasury banks, and audit firms; ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effective use of outside resources.
Build the teamâs capabilities over time to support the companyâs growing international footprint and increasing complexity.

Who You Are
15+ years of progressive tax experience, with a strong foundation in both domestic and international tax; at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing a tax function.
CPA required; JD, LLM in Taxation, or MST highly preferred.
Deep expertise in international tax, including transfer pricing, cross-border structuring, withholding taxes, permanent establishment, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
Proven track record leading tax due diligence, structuring, and integration for M&A transactions; experience with joint venture tax considerations is strongly preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 (income tax provision), including deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowances.
Experience building or leading a treasury function, including cash management, FX risk management, banking relationships, and debt/credit facility management; candidates with combined tax and treasury leadership experience will be prioritized.
Working knowledge of transfer pricing documentation requirements under OECD guidelines and U.S. regulations (Section 482); experience managing transfer pricing studies and audits.
Experience operating in a private equityâbacked or sponsor-backed environment is a plus; comfort with Board and investor reporting on tax and treasury matters.
