SGS is currently looking for a CWI Inspector for a 6 weeks contract in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate who has a CWI and/or ASNT Level II (or higher) – VT, UT, MT certification. The client is located in Nello, South Bend, Indiana.
Scope of work:
- Review Manufacturers quality inspection documentation
- Examine job travelers and inspection findings
- Evaluate Material test reports, WPS, and PQR
- Evaluate Repair procedures for adherence to specifications
- Provide evidence that repairs were properly made
- Document all quality issues
- Evaluate finished product including surface finish and coating to assure compliance with all applicable specifications
- Perform dimensional verification in accordance to relevant part drawings
- Witness NDT (VT, UT, and MT) in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project specifications
- Clearly mark any defective areas requiring rework, including description of defect
- Provide photographs
- Reinspect all repairs to ensure it meets specifications
- Random Spot checks of welders before, during, and after welding
- Inspector shall deliver weekly reports
