Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering and Design is seeking a Technologist (Dynamics and control) to provide expert technical services to support the teaching and research activities of the Department of Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering staff and students.
You will be joining a 14-strong team of technical staff providing specialist support to the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering staff and students. The team is split 50/50 between the City Campus and the Newmarket Campus. We contribute technical knowledge and expertise to research and teaching activities while ensuring the ongoing operation and compliance of a vast range of laboratories, research equipment and teaching facilities.
This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week role on a permanent basis. The salary range is $73,400- $90,700 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

He kōrero mōu | About you
We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and experience in vibration testing and measurement. Experience in Mechatronics and working in a tertiary environment is preferred. Additionally, registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) as an Electrical Appliance or Service Technician would be advantageous.
