Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Slough Gas Seal Engineering Team is excited to welcome a passionate, expert-level Mechanical Engineer ready to take on unique and rewarding technical challenges. This role is based from our Slough site working Monday to Friday normal office hours.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external clients to understand and translate application engineering requirements into innovative, practical solutions.

• Lead the investigation and analysis of complex engineering challenges, developing effective, high-quality solutions that align with company strategy and customer needs.

• Take full ownership of projects—managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Work autonomously to plan, prioritize, and execute engineering tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-management and accountability.

• Drive design excellence by developing solutions that prioritize functionality, reliability, standardization, and cost efficiency, leveraging tools such as 2D/3D CAD, proprietary in-house software, and ANSYS.

• Champion OEM standardization initiatives, promoting consistency, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices across multiple projects.

• Foster collaboration and influence across cross-functional teams, effectively communicating with engineers, project stakeholders, and partners to guide project direction and achieve shared objectives.
