As an intern Software Engineer (DevOps), you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development process for Lely’s Astronaut milking robot. This process relies on a complex landscape of CI/CD pipelines that support the build, testing and packaging of embedded Linux applications. During this internship, you will research how this landscape can be simplified and made more efficient, and you will translate your findings into a concrete and implementable solution.

Your main responsibilities include:

Analysing the current CI/CD pipelines and identifying pain points and inefficiencies
Researching modern and best-in-class DevOps practices relevant to embedded Linux environments
Designing an improved DevOps approach or architecture based on your research findings
Implementing and validating the proposed solution in a practical setting
Collaborating with software engineers and DevOps specialists to gather insights and feedback
Documenting your research, design choices and implementation results clearly and structurally
