The Heavy Duty Porter - EVS/Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of assigned facilities. This role involves performing a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, from routine daily cleaning to specialized detail work, while ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Clean and maintain all public areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, locker rooms, and other assigned spaces
ā¢ Perform detailed cleaning tasks such as high dusting, carpet shampooing, floor stripping, and specialized surface care
ā¢ Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including stripping machines, carpet shampooers, and floor sweepers, with regular preventative maintenance
ā¢ Remove trash, debris, and waste materials from all assigned areas using appropriate disposal methods
ā¢ Clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaners, brooms, and shampoo machines
ā¢ Perform elevated cleaning tasks, including working from 10-foot ladders to clean elevator tracks, light fixtures, and high-reach areas
ā¢ Handle biohazard and biochemical material cleanup in accordance with safety protocols and regulations
ā¢ Demonstrate finger dexterity and attention to detail in all cleaning tasks
ā¢ Regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and operate equipment requiring up to 75 pounds of force
ā¢ Stand for extended periods while performing assigned duties
ā¢ Complete additional duties as assigned by management
