The Design Coordinator will play a key role in managing and coordinating design activities for aviation and airport projects. The role requires ensuring seamless collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, maintaining compliance with project specifications, and delivering high-quality design outputs within stipulated timelines. The ideal candidate will have 5–15 years of experience in design coordination, specifically in airport infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate and manage design activities across various disciplines (architecture, structural, MEP, civil, and systems engineering) to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between design teams, project managers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.
- Review and validate design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, aviation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, monitor, and update design schedules, ensuring timely submission of deliverables.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, approvals, and correspondence for audit and project tracking purposes.
- Conduct technical reviews of design submissions to ensure feasibility, constructability, and compliance with aviation codes and standards (e.g., ICAO, FAA, IATA).
- Identify and resolve design conflicts or discrepancies through proactive coordination with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure design compliance with aviation safety and operational requirements.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure design accuracy and adherence to project standards.
- Monitor design progress and performance, flagging risks or delays, and recommending corrective actions.
